McDonald’s Snack Wrap Line Expands to Include Two New Flavors – and a Grilled Chicken Option

SAN DIEGO – January 23, 2007 – Following the success of the original Snack Wrap launched in spring 2006, McDonald’s restaurants are introducing two new taste options to satisfy San Diegans’ hunger pangs day or night.

The new Honey Mustard Snack Wrap starts with grilled Premium Chicken or a Premium Chicken Select strip, topped with cheddar jack cheese, fresh crisp lettuce and honey mustard sauce wrapped in a soft flour tortilla.  A Salsa Roja Snack Wrap with a spicy sauce is also available exclusively in Southern California.

"Our customers loved the quality, taste and convenience of the original Snack Wrap so much that we knew we had to introduce other flavor options," said Philip Palumbo, president, McDonald’s Owner/Operator’s Association of San Diego.  "A key new feature of the Snack Wraps is the option of grilled chicken, which gives our customers even more choices when ordering."

With 16 grams of protein each, the Snack Wraps provide a mid-day pick-me-up.  McDonald’s Snack Wraps with grilled Premium Chicken can also be paired with a Fruit n’ Yogurt Parfait or Side Salad for a light lunch or dinner.

The new Snack Wraps are available at San Diego McDonald’s restaurants starting Jan. 30 for a recommended price of $1.29 each.
