More than 80 San Diego County McDonald’s Restaurants will Provide Customers with On-Demand Delivery
SAN DIEGO – May 22, 2017 – Whether at home, the office or somewhere in between, McDonald’s customers in San Diego County can now enjoy their favorite menu items from McDonald’s delivered to them with UberEATS. McDelivery on UberEATS is available at 82 McDonald’s restaurants throughout the county.
“Delivery is one of the top requests by our customers, and we’re excited to provide them with a more modern dining experience they have asked for at McDonald’s,” said Jamie Straza, president of San Diego County McDonald’s Owner/Operator’s Association. “Through our affiliation with UberEATS, we will bring a new level of convenience and personalization to our San Diego County customers.”
San Diego County customers can place McDonald’s orders on the UberEATS mobile app or on UberEATS.com, using the same account they use to take Uber rides, and track their order as an UberEATS delivery partner brings their meal directly to them. The full menu at participating McDonald’s restaurants will be available for delivery with the exception of soft serve cones. An UberEATS booking fee applies to each order.
“With UberEATS, you can get the food you want, where you want it, delivered at Uber speed. We’re thrilled to partner with McDonald’s to give fans in San Diego easy access to their McDonald’s favorites at the tap of a button,” said Ben Story, UberEATS San Diego general manager. “People in San Diego search for McDonald’s in the UberEATS app almost daily, so we’re excited to expand our reach and deliver what they’ve been craving.”
Customers can use the code FRIES4U to get $5 off their first two UberEATS orders.
Delivery is just one way McDonald’s is enhancing the customer experience through added convenience. San Diego County owner/operators have been making interior and exterior improvements to their restaurants, which include a more modern design, digital menu boards and self-serve kiosks. Southern California customers can also enjoy unique menu items, including the Egg White & Turkey Sausage Breakfast Bowl, and smoothies and parfaits made with nonfat vanilla Chobani® Greek Yogurt at participating restaurants.
Additionally, McDonald’s recently announced it will roll out mobile order and pay across its 14,000 U.S. restaurants later this year.
